We will discuss artistic approaches to migration and exile especially in relation to testimony, activism and aesthetics, in conversation with Judith Depaule, director of Paris-based Atelier des Artistes en Exil.

Art et migration : théâtre (Jeudi 25 mars, 18h - 20h)
Alexis Nuselovici (NOUSS), titulaire de la chaire Exil et migrations vous convie à une deuxième rencontre sur les liens entre art et migration. Depuis longtemps, l'art traite de l'expérience exilique. Mais la migration contemporaine avec ses tragédies et ses détresses interpelle directement la démarche artistique sur sa fonction et sa pertinence, entre témoignage, activisme et esthétisme.
En quoi les codes du théâtre, sa culture, sa tradition et son histoire en Europe et ailleurs peuvent-ils appréhender le vécu migratoire actuel et l’éclairer ? Cela le classe-t-il immédiatement comme théâtre militant ou théâtre d’intervention ? À cet égard, faut-il privilégier le théâtre de rue ou l’improvisation ?
